Meet Michigan City Dentist

Dr. Valerie Haughtington

Dr. Haughtington is a true native of Michigan City. She received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University, and graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis with her DDS Degree. Following graduation, she moved back to the Michigan City area to practice.

She now lives in La Porte with her husband, Bill, her four children, and their chocolate lab, Hershey.  In her time away from the office, she enjoys being involved in her family’s activities and volunteering at her children’s school and church.

Dr. Haughtington knew from the age of 10 that she wanted to be a dentist. She remembers having a bad experience at the dentist as a very young child that left her especially fearful. She was then referred to a pediatric dentist who was sensitive to her fears and made her experience a positive one. That negative experience has motivated Dr. Haughtington to create a caring and compassionate experience for each of her patients.

In an effort to always provide a positive experience for her patients, Dr. Haughtington is committed to continuing education and staying up-to-date on advancements in procedures, technology, and general patient care.
